An exquisite pair of mid 18th Century Dutch Marquetry side chairs.
This beautiful pair come constructed in walnut, and boast phenomenal veneer detail across each chair. Above the newly upholstered seat bases, are classically curved central back splats, depicting scenes of wildlife, birds and floral arrangements. More remarkable still, is the inclusion of Mother of Pearl within the floral design, which elevates the pair above others of this nature.
The pair sit above elegant cabriole legs, and are fixed by H-stretchers.
