A rare pair of early/mid 18th century Dutch hardwood chairs, circa 1740.
These fabulous ebonised chairs feature moulded scroll patterns on their back supports, base fronts and accents on the cabriole style front legs. The scroll motif carries over to each splat back, giving them a superbly elegant finish.
Both drop in seat bases recently reupholstered with fine French linen, sat over ball and claw feet, untied by 'H' pattern stretcher.
