A handsome mahogany campaign writing slope, finished with brass inlay.
This fine mahogany writing slope is bound by antique brass inlay, and features a recessed handle either side of the box; one handle accessing a flush pull out side drawer.
Once opened, a wonderfully patinated leather writing surface with debossed pattern around its circumference is revealed. Underneath each half of the writing platform is a hidden compartment, accessed by lifting the ribbon tabs either side. Along the top edge of the slope, there are more compartments for storing writing tools and equipment.
