French Ebonised Cave a Liqueur C.1820
An exquisite French Cave a Liqueur with Boulle and Tortoise Shell Detail.
This fabulous serpentine fronted box, with up and over lid design, features a decorative brass beading around the top edge and above the lower base section, while a brass pinstripe inlay features on top of the lid and front of the box. The serpentine front also displays a beautiful arrangement of French Boulle and tortoise shell, in a floral design. This design is repeated on top of the box, around a vacant cartouche.
Inside, there a four large crystal decanters, flanked by eight small stemmed crystal glasses either side.
The box sits over four rounded brass feet with beaded pattern on each.
