A very fine flintlock muzzle loading pistol, by Gunmaker in Ordinary to King George III, Henry Nock. Circa 1775.
This superb example wears a bordered lock plate, engraved 'H.Nock'. Mounted over a mahogany stock, with brass detail on the opposite side. Underneath is a brass trigger and trigger guard, in front of which sits a captive ramrod.
The barrel is stamped with proof and manufacturer marks to one side, with 'London' at the top centre of the barrel. Mechanisms are all in strong working order. Barrel is 37cm in overall length.
