A Charles I Gold Double Crown, in nr. very fine condition.
Obverse: 'CAROLVS . D.G.MAG.BR.FRA.ET.HI.REX' - Fourth crowned bust left with lace collar. 'X' behind, crown mintmark.
Reverse: 'CVLTORES . SVi . DEVS . PROTEGIT' - Oval shield of arms, crowns and garnished with crowned 'C' and 'R' to either side. Crown mintmark before the crown.
Trivial edge knocks, attractive red tone to reverse side. Attractive piece in near Very Fine grade.
